Stonefly nymphs live in the substrate for up to three years, which means trout in freestone rivers see them constantly and eat them without hesitation. Pat’s Rubber Legs imitates one with a chenille body and six rubber legs that never stop moving, and it consistently beats anatomically precise stonefly patterns.
The bead head gets it into the bottom third of the water column where the naturals live. Green and tan cover the golden stone and the darker naturals.
