Charlie Craven’s thread-and-resin baetis — a slim, glassy nymph for the most pressured water you fish.
The Juju Baetis is built from thread and coated in resin, which gives it something most nymphs do not have: a genuinely translucent, segmented body at a very small size. On tailwaters where trout see hundreds of flies a week, that translucence is often the difference between a look and an eat.
The purple version is not a departure — purple reads as dark and buggy under water and has become one of the most consistent baetis colours on technical rivers.
